Loved it. Particularly taste-wise, body wise and mouthful wise. Thick in body (I generally don't like thin), carbonated just enough, and not boozy tasting. Nothing in particular stands out, just that the sum of the parts results in exactly what I expect and want from this type of beer.

Pours very dark. Tan foam. Bourbon aroma. Heavy vanilla bourbon body. Sweet. Char and chocolate finish. Heavy alcohol taste. Very good but very heavy.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, smoke, bourbon, and vanilla cake frosting.
This relatively intense, for a War Horse beer, with tons of sweet cake-y vanilla, but also tons of roast and a little bit of smoke, and a caramelly and charred bourbon character.
This is medium bodied, a bit thicker-tasting than the same version of this stout without vanilla. It’s not too boozy.
Both of the beers I’ve had from this series have been excellent.
