Nice clear light gold color with white cap and very good lacing.
Definite aroma of lime here with an underlying malt base. Can't really find hops because the lime is dominant in the scent.
Taste is surprising. Rich, bready malt and the lime influence is subtle at first, a mild presence like sweet Key Lime rather than the usual sharp lime flavor sometimes found in lime infused brews. Lime enters as a sotto voice that grows increasingly strong as we approach the finish. Malt remains constant and there are some hops which I can only call floral cause I really can't tell with this lime overlay. Very clean, nothing heavy handed or industrial about it, just straight forward Pils style with sweet lime. If someone told me this is the regular Potosi brewed Duber Dubuque Pilsner with lime added I wouldn't argue.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
Remarkably balanced for a flavored brew. There's a beeriness about it that pleases this Lager fan with an added lime punch that actually adds to rather than dominates the taste. Very nice, not a great food match I suspect, unless there's lime in the dish, but good enough to buy a six and share with friends.
