Clear yellow color . Good-looking, white head, The aroma of mal,t, and maybe some yeast. Taste very light without aftertaste. Eurolager... Just something to drink.

Found in a central Moscow kiosk, the brown half liter bottle has a tapered neck and a white, blue and gold label featuring two birds of prey flanking a shield and perched above the name. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 6/16/06, I opened it on 3/24/06.
Pours a slightly reddish clear gold under a 1.5 finger white head that vanishes almost immediately, leaving a small collar and a couple whisps of film, but no lace. The nose is almost non-existent, mustering only the slightest hint of sweet grain. The mouth is very prickly and slightly sticky. The taste is standard bland euro lager, with mostly bready malt and just a hint of slightly floral hops. There's not much in the way of an aftertaste, although a touch of sour competes with the equally minimal dry bitter of the hops. Yawn.
