Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – the beer pours a deep reddish amber color with a one finger head of off-white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a sweet doughy smell mixed with a bit of banana and some tons of toffee. Along with these aromas comes notes of yeast and a bit of caramel, combined with some apricot and a touch of candied aromas.
Taste – The taste begins with a caramel and toffee sweetness along with the doughiness that was in the nose. There are some light grainy and wheaty notes that grow a bit stronger throughout the taste as well, while other flavors of banana and a light orange maintain a light presence throughout. As the taste advances on the tongue, notes of coriander and clove develop, all while a touch of hay joins in, leaving one with a nice, moderately sweet, but balanced flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – the body is medium to slightly lighter and thinner for the style, with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A rather nice Kellerbier overall. Quite easy drinking and balanced.

Copenhagen 11/11 2017. 50 cl bottle from Ørsted Vine, HC Ørstedsvej, Frb. C. Funny chubby bottle. Two lions about to jump into a basin used for beer-making on the label. They must be thirsty. Stamps assuring me the this beer is brewed "Nach Traditionellem Vorbild".
Pours hazy amber with big bubbly white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is of sweetish malts with a sourish tang. Touch of salt.
Low carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by fairly strong sour bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter. Lingering.
Goes fine with a light lunch - but not terrible exciting.

From a 500ml can, poured into a clear plastic cup.
A hazy (unfiltered) amber pour with a nice foamy head that settles to a thin layer of foam that yields some decent lacing.
Toasted and caramelized barley malt aroma and flavor. Notes of toffee, caramel and a little vanilla sit well with the choice of hops.
For whatever reason, the 5.2 ABV tastes higher than it is. Perhaps it’s the hint of Amaretto flavor.
The bitter/sweet finish is enjoyable, nicely carbonated with a light/medium bodied mouthfeel make for smooth sipping.
A very good unfiltered amber lager that is more complex than the average brew, and goes down easy.

330 ml stubby bottle, from Edeka Sophienhof, Kiel. ABV is 5.2%. Hazy deep golden to brownish colour, small white head. Very malty and grainy aroma, smells like a brewery malt loft. Also biscuity notes, a hint of caramel. Malty and grainy flavour too, again hints of biscuits and caramel, also roasted almonds, decent hops. Unusual and interesting.
