Bremen 16/7 2023. 50 cl from tap at Restaurant Santiagos, Hutfilterstasse, Mitte.
Pours unclear maroon with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet and lightly toasted odor of malts. Metallic notes. Toasted m as it’s, toffee and caramel. Metallic alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers for a bit. Finish is pleasant caramel.
Solid Dunkel Bock.

330ml Bottle, poured into Cornet goblet.
A: Very dark mahogany, almost opaque, not much of a head, didn't leave a lot of lacing.
S: Mainly malt, some farmyard.
T: Sharp malts and dark chocolate, hints of cherry.
M: Medium to heavy body, low carbonation, slight burn from the booze.
O: Didn't quite measure up to Bavarian dopplebocks but worth revisiting.
