Green and white 500ml can from a supermarket in Sofia, Bulgaria. Reviewed from notes taken in May 2016.
I found this surprisingly approachable for a supermarket lager. Crisp Pilsner malts with some faint grassiness. Simple and shallow for a pilsner, but I find no metallic off-notes or booze, and it isn't watery.
Sharply overcarbonated, sure, but you can't have it all at this price.
For a cheap-as-hell Romanian brewed supermarket brew, it's quite... drinkable. Inoffensive fare, and somewhat enjoyable. I'd happily recommend this to anyone in the market for affordable casual drinking in the Southeastern Balkans, but it won't be of interest to discerning drinkers.
It's nice to see pilsners fighting the usual pale lager schlock for control of the budget market on European supermarket shelves.
