Hazy, with a little sediment from the bottle. Attractive orange/gold colour with a one-finger, rich head that lasted well. Some rings of lacing.

Nose is malt with some citrus.

Taste follows the nose, plus some honey and a spicy tang.

Body is light to medium with a dry, bitter finish.

This is a hopped-up version of an English bitter. Not outstanding but interesting and pleasant enough.

500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD Mar 2014, poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 31 July 2013.

Dull golden colour, with an off-white head.

The nose and taste came across as hoppy, bitter, dry, slightly fruity (mixed), toast, some wood notes, with a mild grapefruit finish.

Nothing took over the tasting: a pleasant enough blend, but lacked a bit of character and depth. The cask version might be better?

On cask at the GBBF.

Pours golden brown with a film of big bubbles. Big toasty nose. Toast and nutty grain malts with slight lemon, tea hops. Husky leave, medium, some chew.

Crazy toast! Like chewing smoked almonds.

Ingredients say Chinook and Cascade, but why hop with big Americans if you're letting the malts dominate? And given the setting, I'm reluctant to question the quality of the cask. Not sure what this one is trying to be.

500 mL bottle poured into a glass.

This true micro-brewery in Surrey does everything by hand--including labeling the bottles and bottling the beer. It was a nice surprise finding this at a local farmer's market.

Posh Pooch seems to be their flagship ale, and is an English pale ale, though much more interesting than most I've had in that style.

The color of the beer is very pleasing--a beautiful orangeish brown, with only a minimal head. There are traces of sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

Both smell and taste have mild hints of citrus fruits, and a touch of spiciness that I can't quite place.

Very enjoyable pale!
