On tap at Brasserie Four the other night. Had hoped to stop off at the brewery, but that will have to wait for another trip (limited wintertime hours there right now).
The beer pours a fairly dark reddish brown color with very good head retention and decent lacing. I don't get a lot on the nose, just some rather sweet, roasty malt aroma. The beer smells OK, but the initial impression I get is that this will be a fairly sweet, malty red ale. On the palate this beer was better then what I was expecting. It has the sweet roasty maltiness that I was expecting, but there is some nice hoppiness in the finish (tastes like it was dry hopped) that really keeps this beer from coming across as too heavy. The hoppiness also helps this beers drinkability, and makes this much better then a lot of your one dimensional red amber ales. Not sure what the abv. is, but would guess it's in the 6% range.
A nice beer from this new to me Walla Walla brewery.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
