Drank on tap at the Yakima fresh hop festival back in 09. Pretty cool appearance, has that bright orange vibrancy I like to see with ipas. Thin head. Good tangerine hop aroma, much like Yakima Brewing Company's ipa, found these very similar.
Good bitterness does not overwhelm the delicate hop mouthfeel, leans citrus far more than any other descriptor. At times, had that delectable little amount of a mint leaf in it. Would just like to see more 'ooomph' of out the caramel or hops. Easy drinking though and not because the flavor was lacking. A cool little ipa.

Walla Walla was somehow able to score some high alpha (13%) Citra hops for this unique IPA. Citra is a new hops variety known for its exotic, tropical flavors, and presently grown in very limited supply. For a small, upstart brewery to acquire enough for one of their mainstay beers is quite a coup.
I drank three or four bombers of this IPA over the course of several days and after the first bottle, I eagerly looked forward to each successive one. The IPA has a sweet tangerine-melon aroma arising from enthused, small-bubbled carbonation. The body is warm hazed gold and sports a thick, rocky crown. Bitterness is present in good measure, but isn't overplayed. Instead, seductive hop sensibilities and a plush, sensuous mouthfeel serve to enhance drinkability.
Very agreeable for its informality and relaxed contours.
