Ah, I love that brewery-fresh, mash tun smell. Nothing captures the sublime decency of earthen grains like a good steep in hot water followed by a doughy flourish of yeast. This wheat beer makes good use of Washington-grown white winter wheat that kicks up a thick crown of foam while tumultuous carbonation lends sustain from below. The body is golden yellow with a smattering of lace.
This is an American-style wheat beer - wheat-sweet with a full body and a sharp, dry finish. A touch of sugar on raw grain pays tribute to the wheat of it, making for a comfortable, low-key session beer.
