The official beer of Namibia! I drank this by a fire in a remote lodge near the Botswana border shortly after finding out that we were in a Malaria zone. It has a decent malt taste to it.

330 ML can smuggled back from South Africa, Thanks for the hookup Tony!
Brilliantly clear light golden color with a decent sized bubbly bone white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aromas of light sweet bready pilsner malt with a hint of sugar and just enough floral hops to be detected. The flavor is light sweet maltiness with a firm bitterness to counter. Prickly carbonation brings up a bit of a tart carbonic bite. Little to no hop flavor. Clean well made lager with no obvious flaws, but like most in the style it lacks much in the way of flavor.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Nov 2011, so it's out of date. Given to me by a friend from SA when he came over to visit in December. Label states that this is brewed according to the reinheitsgebot.

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A pale-golden colour with medium carbonation and visible sediment. Forms a small head of white foam that lasts for a minute or so. Hardly any aroma; a hint of light malt and the merest whisper of stewed hops.

Tastes like a typical mass-produced lager - bland. A weak flavour of light malt with a subtle bitter finish. Quite dry. Mouthfeel is light, smooth and prickly. A faint aftertaste of light malt.

A typical macro lager - bland and watery. On the plus side, the taste is clean. Probably pretty refreshing if you're in Namibia.

Pours with a nice foamy, frothy, fine, off white head that slowly subsides with lots of little bubble trails and some lace. Color is a clear yellow. Aroma is hop, malt, cereal. Flavor is like nose and heavy on the cereal. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor with a hint of solvent and is short to medium in length. Servicable beer and nice to see no adjuncts.

330ml bottle 4% abv

Appearance: Light golden beer with a good (But very fast dissipating) head, that leaves no lace.

Smell: Very light nose, hints malt and hops, rather disappointing.

Taste: Similar to the smell, not much happening. There is sweet malt, but not much in the way of hops.

Mouthfeel: Light and over carbonated.

Drinkability: As drinkable as your average lager. i.e. ice cold on a hot day...

Pours very pale clear golden yellow, with a modest soapy head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is on the sweet side. Pale malt and a hint of hops.

Taste is similar to the nose. Grassy pale malt, sweet with mild lemony notes. Finish is clean with mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel is light, and smooth.

Overall a very smooth and drinkable lager. More hops than expected in this light lager. Certainly worth a try.

I'm a bit surprised this one doesn't have more reviews.

Appearance is golden, big head, exceptional head retention.

Smells clean and lagery, but with a hint of hops - more so than is usually present in the style.

Taste is well balanced. Bitterness is smooth, hint of malt sweetness at the back end, a touch of mineral.

Mouthfeel is very smooth, finish is crisp, but the aftertaste leaves a bit to be desired. Good body. This is another Reinheitsgebot-compliant beer out of Namibia that reinforced my conjecture that Namibians brew better beer than South Africans. Like Windhoek, but a touch more interesting.
