330ml tear drop bottle poured into tulip 3/10/14 thanks Phyl21ca for the bottle
A slow gusher, darkest brown with a massive head that stays around the entire time leaving lots of random lace, still has some foam at the bottom
S lots of barrel, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, some sour plum, raisins, char, and a some funky brett, a mild infection I'm guessing
T a little funky but salvageable, much like the nose, JD aged maybe? lots of char and coffee but the funky notes keep getting in the way
M a little thin and it explodes when it hits your mouth and then flattens out, lots of bourbon on the finish
O I doubt the funks intended but its drinkable, lots of barrel but it can't mask the infection, not over the top but I wouldn't age this one
I love the label but the beers a little meh, I don't think they were trying to brew a sour stout but it picked up something somewhere

Tap (Hivernale): Poured a deep black color ale with a generous head. Aroma of light dry roasted malt with vanilla and bourbon notes and some chocolate cream notes is quite enjoyable. Taste is a mix between some vanilla and bourbon notes with some chocolate cream notes and some light dry bitter coffee notes. Body is a bit thin with light creamy texture and some good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed and the only improvement point is that a bigger stout might have fared better with the amount of bourbon notes that can be found in this beer.
