The beer arrived on the bar a hazy pale golden with an off white frothy head which lasted to lace the glass.
The aroma was fruity with a restrained hop presence.
The flavor was caramel and hop bitterness. The bitterness was not high and certainly could have been higher to balance the malt sweetnees. The sweetness was a bit too high when the beer first hits the palate.
The finish was dry and nicely bitter into the aftertaste with a medium body.
The sweetness is reminiscent of a bock rather than a pale ale.
