Hilltop Brewing
Virginia Beach
Appearance- A copper/ walnut brown with a light watery head.
Smell- heavy malt and alcohol. Slighty sugary.
Taste- Very very Malty! Creamy caramel malt.
Mouthfeel- slight bitterness with some alcohol detection.
Overall- a tasty Helles Bock that would be sure to knock you on your @ss if you drank several of.

An 8 oz sample yesterday at the Microfestivus festval in Roanoke, poured a light bronze color with a rather large white fluffy head.Aroms cooked vegetables mainly with a hint of pepper underneath, nice rounded flavors firm bread dough flavors up front with an underlying spicey/herbal finish no hint of alcohol to speak of.A decent helles bock somethin not brewed enough around these parts in my opinion.

The beer arrived on the bar a crystal celar light golden amber with a white long lasting head which laced the glass.
The aroma was malty with a slight spicy hop aroma.
The flavor was malty and sweet when it first contacts the palate and then well balanced with a slight spicy hop bittering.
The finish was dry with some pleasant bittering lasting till the aftertaste and the body was medium.
The beer was served very warm, sort of like the tap had not been chilled properly or had not been poured in quite some time.
