Had this at Polite Pig in Orlando. Really an enjoyable porter. Pours black, smell.is wild but flavor is really on point. Nice rich malts without being overly sweetened. Get some bitter chocolate in there. Really impressed.

Look: It pours very dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is excellent.

Smell: The aroma features a lot of roast with some chocolate. There are some dark fruits featuring light plum.

Taste: There is a lot of roast in the flavor without being harshly bitter. There are light chocolate elements with dark fruits that feature plum.

Feel: It has a medium body with a bitter roasted finish.

Overall, I enjoyed the roast which was not in my opinion overbearing.

16 oz. can. Labeled as Ravenous Pig Brewing Company. Deep brown with some transparency. Smells of light sweet nutty malts and strong roasted malts. Tastes of slightly sweet caramel, hefty coffee roast, then a little bit of pine hop bitterness. Medium body. It's either incredibly drinkable or so good that I'm just gulping it down. Wonderful porter. Well done.

In a flight at the Pig, i score this 4s across.
a) Brown-black standard with tan lasting and lacing head.
s) Roast, with more hop pig tail.
t) follows flavor, rich, good food pairing
f) Mid to velvet weight. As expected, a contender.

Look: Very dark brown, verging on black, with a huge, foamy tan head.

Smell: Sweet and savory, almost vegetal.

Taste: Heavy roasted coffee flavor. Semi-sweet, with the bitterness coming from roasted malt rather than hops.

Mouthfeel: Thick and chewy. Fairly high carbonation.

Overall: A very solid example of a porter.

Poured from a 32 ounce Crowler. A regular pint glass was the vessel used to consume this brew. Dark brown/black hue. The head was only slightly off white in color. Good fluffy bubbles that coat the glass as it goes. The taste of chocolate and dark malts. The body is less robust than one might think when just looking at the brew. The alcohol is well hidden. I'm not sure if they will be brewing this one again, but it is a nice example of a porter.
