The Ravenous Pig "Gingerbread Red"

Notes: Somewhat hazy, deep-copper colored body beneath a short head of off-white. Limited head retention and lacing. Lots of ginger in the nose although the other spices do make an appearance (lemon zest, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice). It's quite spicy in the taste with the spices overriding the medium-caramel maltiness. Dry finish with dusty spiciness lingering. Medium to medium-light in body and crisp. Overall it's a little out of balance with spices, needing just a little more sweetness on the malty side.
