I've had Wakonda's Beachcomber Cream Ale when it's fresh (first draw from a new keg) and when it's of average serving condition. When fresh it's a gem. Under predictably average serving conditions the beer fails to shine. Beachcomber is potentially smooth with an airy, doughy aroma and a milk-white carpet of compact white lather. Or it's ambiguous and disinteresting with minimal lace and restrained character. It may have grassy, bready flavors with a lush creaminess capable of inspired charm or drab, muted expressions with bland bitterness achieving no more than mere functionality.
Worth taking a chance on but experience tells me not to rely on a successful outcome.
