On tap in downtown Newport
The beer pours a darkish black color with very good head retention and lacing. The nose on this beer is quite nice, consisting of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavors replicate the nose, except there is some nice bitterness on the finish, which balances the moderate sweetness quite nicely. Mouthfeel is fairly full, with a nice long finish. Not sure what the alcohol is, but drinkability was pretty good, and I could easily drink a couple of these at a sitting.
Am a fan of the timber beast IPA, but after getting a sample of this, I almost switched my order. Very, very nice.
