1st review of this beer on BA. Had this back in August 2016.
On paper this beer sounds pretty cool, my favorite hop, my favorite cartoon, one of my favorite characters, hence why I bought a bottle from the source (waiting for Bruery to open). Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations.
Pours a dark golden color leaning into an amber like appearance, 1/2" off white head. The aroma was anything but the Nelson hop. I mean like, none. Bummer. If anything, it had more of a malt dustiness to the aroma than it did any even kettle sour notes.
Taste continued to disappoint. The Nelson hop still not coming through, a very mild tartness and sourness, maybe a 2 on the 10pt scale, and that could be being generous, this might be a 1. So lets see, you get a sour Nelson beer, and its neither of those things essentially. Disappointing for so many reasons.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
