A special version of Bootlegger's anniversary ale with English hops (I believe Kent/Goldings).
A: Looks pretty much the same as the regular version of the beer: light brown in color with a few hints of red and a thin white foam.
S: The hops provide a floral and slightly resinous dimension to the aroma. At the same time, they detract a bit from the toffee, caramel, and nuttiness.
T: The flavor remains fairly unchanged, with the chocolate, toffee, and light a toasted quality being the primary flavors. The finish, however, is a bit different with a nice bitterness.
M: The mouthfeel is, again, much the same with the creamy feeling on the tongue and a medium body.
D: I liked this version a bit better as I feel the hops added a different dimension to the beer. The bitterness was a nice contrast to the sweet elements.
