Poured a reddish amber with a thin head and left a little bubbly lacing sticking to the glass. The aroma was quite funky and musty alongside slight vinegar, some sour cherries, acidic character, but a little lemon in the background as well. The flavor was also quite oaky funky musty with acidic vinegar dominating the palate but had sour cherry and citrus lemon type accents. The brew was medium in body with a good amount of carbonation which had a slight sweet, slick, sticky, acidic, and sour finish. It drank really good and have to say it is one of my favorites from the lambic line that they have brewed. Pretty solid sour offering.

Boy oh boy, how did I miss out on Bootlegger's for so long?

Pours an orange/deep amber with maybe a quarter inch of off-white foam head. Looks good.

Smells like musty oak, a dash of cherries, some lemon, and a real vinegar-y tartness.

Tastes pretty much like it smells, with the oak and sour cherries taking forward stage, and a real ... woody/earthy ... fruit sour background. A dash of lemon, though this isn't nearly as lemon-y as the No. 1. Not quite as sour either.

Bootlegger's is producing some very good under the radar sours.

A: Pours an amber red with a light fizzy head, nice colour.

S: Red wine, acetic balsamic vinegar.

T: This is quite akin to a Flanders Red on the palate. Very vinous, the red wine barrels are showing their stuff. Nice overall flavour of wine, cherries, and acetic acid.

M: Fairly high acid, a tad overcarbonated for me.

D: Not as good as the #3, but this is a solid beer in it's own right, another tasty sour beer from Bootlegger's.

A: The pour is a clear amber color with a fluffy cream colored head without too much in the way of lacing.

S: A really nice balance of lactic and acetic acids. The lactic tartness really controls here with just a hint of vinegar. The sour cherries and oak are quite robust as well.

T: The oak is quite prominent, along with the lemony sourness and a solid sour cherry flavor. The vinegar component is quite mild. The oak is really wet and musty, a really nice funk character.

M: A medium body with a tingly carbonation and a slightly dry finish.

D: The best of the lambics so far from Bootlegger's. I could drink this one all day.

Well, this "lambic" holds a dark orange/amber color. This sour has more tart flavors than lambic #1, reminiscent of dark cherries, in both the aroma and flavor. Acidic qualities on the lighter side for a sour beer. Also a little touch-up of dark fruit skins and assorted berries. The texture seems really light on the palate, sort of watery, and with very light carbonation.

To no surprise, it's another pleasant sour beer produced by Bootlegger's. It's worth trying if you're into the sour stuff.
