On-tap at Bootlegger's,
A: Pours an orange brown, somewhat murky, nice lace.
S: I get more of a tropical nose than the original, pine, pineapple.
T: Almost a wet-hop feel with this. I thought there might be Simcoe just from the tropicality, I guess that's just the Chinnok doing it's thing. Full raw hops - bitter pine needles, grass, cedar, tropical fruit. Dank and tasty.
M: Great balance of the flavours, not overly sweet or hoppy. Very resiny, full-bodied.
D: A great barleywine here, I think the dry-hopping added a nice something to the mix. Just a truer, bigger hop character.
