This was "on cask" at Bootlegger's the week before Christmas. Basically they took Old World Hefeweizen and heated it with some additional spices like orange peel, ginger, apples, clove, and some others that I forgot to write down. Served warm.
A: The pour is a very hazy golden color with some scattered white bubbles forming from the pour.
S: A really great nose to this, almost like a spiced cider. Lots of sweet apples, orange, and spices. I seem to get cinnamon and clove for the most part, perhaps some all spice, too.
T: This has an amazing apple pie flavor to it which is just great. Lots of fresh apple character to go along with cinnamon, clove, all-spice, nutmeg, and maybe a bit of ginger. There is a touch of citrus in there as well.
M: The body is medium and the carbonation is pretty much non-existent. The fact that it is served warm works well here.
D: A really cool idea for a beer. I was a bit unsure about it at first, but after having a class, I must say that I am a believer. Hopefully they do this again next winter.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
