On-tap at Bootlegger's

A: The pour is an incredibly hazy pale yellow color with a finger of white head.

S: There's a big herbal note to this with lots of lemongrass and ginger. The ginger seems to give this beer an aroma I can only describe as hot dogs. A mild peppery note as well as some mild malt.

T: Wow, the hot dog flavor is even more pronounced on the palate. The lemon stands out and there's a definite sweetness to the beer. Plenty of ginger and a little bit of warmth from the pepper.

M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation, but it's nowhere near as dry as I like saisons to be.

D: It's kind of tough to drink a beer that tastes like hot dogs. Wasn't a fan of this one.

On-tap at Bootlegger's, pilot batch,

A: Pours a very hazy cloudy and bright yellow. Minimal head, low retention and lace.

S: Very herbal, though sage, but found out it was lemongrass and ginger. Pleasing.

T: Bready malt flavour comes out more, pils style malt with the notes from the herbs. Tasty, but not as complex as the nose.

M: Almost flat, very light carbonation, though it can work here as a drink.

D: Interesting batch, I like the herbal notes, just up the carbonation.
