On-tap at Bootlegger's
A: The beer pours a dark amber, as advertised, with a finger or so of off-white head.
S: Intensely fruity to begin with. Lots of pineapple and grapefruit on the front end. The malts start to come through after the fact with caramel and toffee leading the way. A slight toasted character exists, also.
T: Pineapple and grapefruit start things off on the tongue, too. A solid maltiness of caramel, toffee, and bread, but there does seem to be just a little bit of alcohol.
M: The body and carbonation are both what I would call medium.
D: I would have preferred a more hop forward approach here, but this wasn't bad at all.

On-tap at Bootlegger's,
A: Pours a light red, light haziness, soft white head.
S: Sweet crystal/red malt, sugary, biscuity.
T: Good overall malt flavour not overbearing as many in this category can beer. Hop flavour is inviting with predominantly piney flavours with some grass and light citrus.
M: Medium-bodied, crisp carbonation, smooth.
D: Well made for a hoppy red ale. As a pilot batch I think they should go with this, flavour is real close to a 4 for me.
