On tap at the Bootlegger's 5th Anniversary Celebration held at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.

Billed as 78 Anniversary Ale (smoked Scotch Ale) aged in barrels with cherries.

Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, sour cherry, and melon aromas. Taste is much the same with a sour and tart cherry flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of woody bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with some really tasty sour cherry flavors.
