On tap at the Bootlegger's 5th Anniversary Celebration held at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.
Billed as a sour ale (# 4) aged in wine barrels.
Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and funky with fruit and vinegar aromas. Taste is much the same with fruit and vinegar flavors on the finish. There is a high amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that tastes better than it smells in my opinion.
