On tap at the Bootlegger's 5th Anniversary Celebration held at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.
Billed as a sour ale aged for 12+ months in Hungarian oak barrels.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with vinegar and fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with a raspberry vinaigrette flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a pretty good balance between fruit and sour aspects.
