Had this one on tap at the Crown Brewing pub on 3/22/2009.
A= This ale poured a mildly cloudy amber color with a 1/2" white head. The head dropped fairly quickly to a thin film and left zero lace down my glass.
S= The aroma was mostly toasted malts with a very faint sweetness. A decent hop presence indicated bitterness was coming.
T= A little bit of malt sweetness made it through (possibly some caramel malt in there) but this was beer was mainly dominated by a sort of bitter/astringent quality that wasn't too good.
MF= Medium body with a crisp tight carbonation level.
D= Not a great effort in my opinion. While I think this brewery has promise, this recipe needs some serious work!
