6oz pour at the brewpub.
A - Standard. Golden, clear, minimal white head with zero lace. Looks like a pilsner...
S - Strange combo of yeasty malts with a hint of fruity esters. Not as good as it sounds.
T - Bizarre combo of fruity esters, pilsner malts and an incredible lack of anything resembling hops. Not good.
M - Medium body, medium carbonation. Just doesn't feel right.
D - Sigh. Low. Too fruity and too many off flavors to make this drinkable. I certainly did not want to order more.
Overall - A below average pale ale that should be avoided. This was a collaboration with the Illinois Craft Brew Alliance, where each brewery made the same beer with a different hop. Crown had Horizon hops, and this is not a good beer. Bad brew, bad recipe, whatever. I hope the other collaborations are much better than this.
