A really interesting new seasonal IPA from YellowBelly, made with mosaic hops from Australia and Pacific Gem hops from New Zealand, with 60 IBUs as given by the brewery website. The appearance is clear, deep amber, with a thin soapy layer of head persisting throughout. The scent is mild, yet very hoppy, with some tropical and resin aromas coming through. The taste is strong in tropical hop flavours, with hints of passion fruit and grapefruit dominating the palate and sticking to it. The feel is very smooth, something not common for many IPAs which can provide too strong a bitter aftertaste in spots. All in all, this is an excellent beer.
