From the brewmaster:
Brewed in the pre-prohibition style, our 1984 Golden Ale is a crisp and quaffable golden beverage. Using locally grown corn in a traditional 'cereal mash' with four other malts of wheat and barley with American hops of Bavarian ancestry renders this a pilsner like ale, lighter and satisfying. 25 IBUs 4.7% ABV
And yes it was, from the moment the slightly hazed brass yellow brew arrived in the pint, to the last swig, it was thoroughly enjoyed. The cereal and corn add a sharp and gritty finish to an initial smooth taste. It has enough bite to really make for an interesting quaff. Newbie craft drinkers, to seasoned veterans will enjoy this one.

I was not able to get an ABV when I added this beer. I tried it at The Augusta Bottoms Beer Festival. I tried to contact the Brewpub but all I could get was their answering machine. This beer is a straw brass color with some moderate carbonation to the body. It had a white head and lace and both were average. It is a pretty malty beer with a little bit of hops. It has kind of a nutty aftertaste. It is some what crisp and light bodied making it refreshing in the mouthfeel department.
