Another new goodie from Wedge I was able to try out recently. This one pours out a nice clean light amber color with a good sized head of white that caps off the top of the glass quite nicely, but fades off very quickly.
Light aroma of bready grains comes through the air first. Warming brings just a touch of light fruit, pears maybe? Something in there a little different but mostly grains and fresh grasses come to mind. Clean, crisp, light body and flavor give this one the necessary profile for the style. Nice choice of flavors here as a light caramel dashes across fresh herbal notes and a light grainy base that seems to come forward the more you sip.
Overall a very solid offering, especially on a hot day. Would have no trouble with this one again.
