Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazed, ruby-orange coloring, with a halo of off-white head. The nose is solid caramel, fruit sweetness, and strong resinous hops. Pretty balanced aromas. Flavors are heavily boozy forward, with tropical fruit sweetness, a backbone blending of caramel and cream, with citrus fruit and resinous highlights. Rich and robust bodied, with a smooth feel overall supporting the resinous hopped and caramel backbone. The finish is slick, rich, and slightly cloying. This beer is a beast.

Pours a deep copper with a frothy cream head that lingers.
Muted citrus, floral hops, and toffee/caramel malt form the initial aroma. Malt sweetness seems to dominate.
Flavor is also sweet and bready, though it lacks a bit in backbone. Bitterness is definitely dominant. Citrus pith underlies the sweetness, but the beer really seems under attenuated.
Body is full, with moderate carbonation and noted alcohol warmth.
More malty than some, but not overly bitter, so it caters to my palate. True dipa lovers will be disappointed.
