Dark mahogany color with a thin off-white head and thin lacing. I pick up a fair charcoal and raisin aroma. Mild carbonation is evident in my sample with a tart bourbon quality to the taste. Oak, fig, and charcoal come out at various moments so there is some complexity to enjoy but it didn't really make me want more. Drinkability is marginal from this experience but it is good enough to give it a try and I'd like to have another go at it the next time I visit Los Gatos.

A- Very dark brown almost black with a tan head that lingered for a while. Nice sticky lacing.
S- A smell of roasted malt, with a hint of chocolate.
T/M- Taste was very much like the smell, but the roasted malt defiantly came out more in the taste. The mouth Feel was nice and clean carbonation was spot on and the beer finished with a nice sweet taste.
D- This was a nice beer, a bit heavy so not one that could drink a lot on in a night. Would have been very good with a steak.
