On tap at Los Gatos on 7/20/09.
A - Clear pale golden/honey-colored body with moderate carbonation and slim rocky white head that diminished to a patchy film but yielded attractive lacing.
S - Fairly muted aroma with hints of biscuity malt, grassy hops and a subtle citrus character. Traces of sweet white grape, caramel and lightly toasted grains also make an appearance.
T - Initial flavor boasts a citrusy/lemony hop presence with some grassy notes and a subtle floral quality. Malt features sweet caramel notes and a biscuity character. There is also a hint of white grape sweetness, followed by a moderate hop bite in the finish accompanied by just a tiny bit of buttery popcorn.
M - Light bodied with moderate carbonation and a mild syrupy - though slightly more oily - texture. A crisp hop bite on the palate results in a clean, refreshing finish.
D - Solid Czech-style pils and a good first impression of Los Gatos overall. This is a crisp, refreshing and sessionable offering.
