MY new local brewery,
Pours a light golden amber tone.
Nice aroma of malt, fall-like squash, good bitterness from the hops, good back bone of malt.
Flavor is balanced-malty, slightly sweet, nice bite of hope, sweet-bitter mix of malt hops, really welll constructed.
Nicely balanced good brew, would make any German happy

Samples at Los Gatos Brewery. Amber hue with nice head and lovely carbonation. Aroma of caramel malt and some hops. Full, very crisp, creamy body. Peppery hops dominate caramel malt in the mouth. Long, dry finish. Too hoppy for Octoberfest, but still good brew.

On tap at Los Gatos on 7/20/09.
A - Clear coppery orange/rust-colored body with subtle carbonation and a thin beige head that settled into a patchy film, leaving ornate lacing around the glass.
S - Sweet caramel and toffee notes abound in this very malty Oktoberfest-style beer. Only a touch of light hops push through, as well as traces of sweet honey.
T - Malt-forward, of course, with a dominant dark caramel and toffee character, as well as some toasted grains. Finishes with light floral hop notes in the midst of all of the malts and subtle maple syrup sweetness.
M - Solid medium body with a syrupy texture and subtle carbonation. Sweet on the palate with just a touch of hop bitterness on the back of the tongue.
D - Nice representation of the style that's not too sweet, but also features an inkling of hops in the back to balance. Tasty Oktoberfest-style lager.
