I think I have this beer listed correctly. The waiter had it described as an "English-style session ale" and their website has a mild ale listed as available right now. I got the name off a board listing their current offerings, and a Google search confirmed they indeed have a currently brew under this name. I got the ABV from my server.
I should also offer the caveat that this is only the second cask ale I've ever had.
With all of that said, I loved this beer. The color was a clear, light-copper color with a nitrogen-like head. I didn't get too much on the nose...just some butter and bittering hops.
The taste had generic ale fruitiness, some butter, and just a little hops on the end. Everything was synchronized. Nothing stood out, but the balance was remarkable. And the mouthfeel was soft and silky smooth. It was everything this Yank (I admit I don't know as much about cask ales or mild ales as other BAs, but I'm trying to learn) would look for in a sessionable ale. I could drink these all night without becoming bored or bloated.
