On tap at Shelton Brothers The Festival 2014 held at Crafted in San Pedro, CA.
Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, toffee, candied fruit, and alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with malt, caramel, toffee, and candied fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty, but it is quite sweet and strong to me.
