On tap at the brewery.
Jet black with a dense, dark brown head with good retention, this looks solid. The nose is pleasantly roasty, creamy with dark chocolate, coffee, leafy hops, a nice grainy bitterness. A mild milk chocolate fudge sweetness I'd also present. The palate opens bitter, grainy and roasty with a really robust grain character. Palate coating and beautifully complemented by the hops, this is very nicely done. Mild mineral character is present as well. Not as creamy as I was expecting, partly due to the high level of carbonation, this beer is medium light in body and finished with a pleasant bitterness. Very nice.

tap at the brew pub.
Dark pitch black decent fizzy head, light lacing, no light.
Nose nice oatmeal, dark stouty, hint biscuity nice dark choc notes, hint earthy hop, chocolate oatmeal.
Taste more creamy oats, biscuity choc, dark choc oatmeal, thick fudgey chocolate like toasted oats, almost chewy but not quite, caramel background, touch earthy hop.
Mouth creamy but bit on the lighter side.

Too roasty for an oatmeal stout.

Had this on 2015-04-29 in Portland at the brewery on tap
Excellent oatmeal stout with a nice smoky flavor. Raisin and toasted oaks. Dry. Light body. Roasty bitter. Delicious. Not surprising considering the two brewers involved.
