Looks like this is a different vintage 'cos the beer i drank today was nowhere near as horrendous as the two earlier reviewers have described.
The nose is a blend of grain, coffee, roast, mineral , earthy hops, a touch of smoke. Palate opens with a great blend of roast, toffee, coffee grounds, a touch of honey, burnt caramel. Again, there's a mild mineral note present. Medium and creamy palate, soft and supple carbonation. In particular, the softness of the carbonation is a huge improvement from the other "from the Stone" beers, which have uniformly been too fizzy. Long finish with roast and caramel. Nice.

Concrete/Mineral taste hits ya in the back teeth. Smoke on the finish. Certainly different from any beer I've had.

Smells and tastes like dust, ash, and char. Undrinkable.
