This is a take on Fred. Skagit malts are used instead of the regular malts used to brew Fred.

Poured from tap at Hair of the Dog in Portland. I am assuming this is not going to be bottled. This one pours darker than regular Fred, and has a really nice nose. Candy, malts, toffee, fig, raisin. The taste is reminiscent of Fred, but a bit different. Oak, bread, earth, leather, toffee, raisin, fig, and a touch of maple. Really nice stuff. Overall, I love these variants.
