On tap at the source. Well done, Chuck.
Black with dark brown highlights. The nose is reminiscent of Putin, with large licorice and anise notes with a strong undercurrent of sweet dark caramel, butterscotch, toffee, sweetened dark chocolate, cherry liqueur, a little amaretto , this is deep and delicious. Roast character is mild, allowing the old, barrel notes to come thru. Evocative of bruised barrels with rusted rings holding together the staves, this is well aged. The cacao then adds a bright and fresh fruitiness to liven things up. The palate opens sweet, quite noticeable so, with caramel, chocolate syrup, vanilla , bourbon, buckwheat honey, a mild oak like tartness. Medium full in body, creamy and sweet but tastefully done. Bittersweet on the finish. Quite excellent.

Darkest burnt brown with a thin khaki foam.
Tons of barrel, booze, and chocolate in both flavor and aroma.
Feel is a tad thin, barrel stripped dryness, boozy warmth.
Great stout, but Putin takes the cake for the stouts from these guys, in my opinion. Cheers.
