"Blue Dot spends 2 years in a bourbon barrel with cherries and returns as Red Dot"
A: dark dark brown, semi translucent red color to it
S: strong bourbon and oak, very delicious
T: hard to believe that this used to be blue dot. hardly any hop bitterness or resemblance of an ipa, definitely highlights the oak and bourbon. the cherry flavor comes in a bit at the end as a nice compliment. also present are the classic hair of the dog characteristics - tobacco, leather. very well balanced
M: almost completely flat, not at all in a bad way. medium thickness
O: absolutely loved it. again, its hard to believe that this used to be an ipa. hardly any resemblance to an ipa, just huge oak and bourbon flavors with a nice tinge of cherry. almost tastes like they aged a big brown ale or barleywine in a bourbon barrel with cherries.
