Pours dark amber/copper with a lasting head.
Very sweet-smelling aroma, with some earthy and nutty malt. Not much else going on.
Very similar flavours, mainly earthy and nutty malt, but some grainy character enters a bit later on.
Nice moderate carbonation and slightly syrupy body.
The cocoa is definitely a subtle character here, don't expect something really chocolatey.
Not sure whether this should instead be labelled as a brown ale, especially considering the cocoa is quite soft. Happy to be corrected.
