As is frequently the case in Russia, the packaging attempts to look German or Belgian with the name "Karl Schneider" and the date of 1903 on the foil around the neck. I could not find any reference to any such brewer online. However, this is a VERY good ale. Extremely drinkable with just the right amount of body and flavor, without being laden in spices and citrus as many actual Belgian ales are. I sincerely hope this product continues to be manufactured and eventually reaches the export market.
