On-tap @ the Brewpub.
Damn, they tossed a lemon wedge in before I had a chance to stop them..I was kinda surprised a brewpub would serve their own beer with fruit in it. Oh well, tossed it out and on with the review..
Obviously unfiltered hazy gold color.
Nice strong aroma of spices, cloves, and light citrus. Bold spice & citrus taste follows and makes for a very tasty American hefeweizen..banana, cloves, and yeast continue in the finish.
A solid American version for sure, glad I tried it.

Pour: very light, almost neon hazy yellow, head was killed by the lemon wedge (snuck it in befrore I could protest) leaving a sparse white skim.
Nose: suggestions of citrus, banana, clove/spice and husky wheat per the style
Taste: sour wheat, subtle banana smoothie, bit of clove/spice/yeast, with a sour/funky finish
Feel: light and tart, carbonation a little too gentle than I like in a hef
Drinkability/Overall: hits all the bases for the style, though underwhelmingly and finishes a little astringent, but overall a decent American brewpub hef.

This Weissbier is yellow golden in body and slightly cloudy with a healthy white head. No visible sediment. Aromas contain a nice amount of banana and clove. Body is light for the style. Taste is fruity, crisp, and slightly biting. Very drinkable. Not a bad little brew at all.
