A- Light amber with a slight haze. One finger head.

S- Nutty, caramel, and toasty aromas. Very slightly spicy noble hop aroma.

T- Malty, more nutty than sweet caramel. Dry slightly hoppy finish.

M- Smooth, good carbonation.

O- Easily on par for an Oktoberfest, but nothing out of the ordinary. Worth getting if you're in the area but not worth going out of the way for.

In the glass, it is an autumnal, orange-glinting amber brew with a modestly spotty cream colored head.
Almost no aroma is present initially, as it was served very cold. Even after it warmed, only vaporous whiffs of caramel-honeynut-grain maltiness are evident.
Into the mouth, it carries much of the same indifference. The malt presence is lackadaisical, with a dilute honeyed cereal notion, and even more constrained glints of toasted grain and dry roasted nuts. Brisk through the middle, and the hops have little to say when it is their turn, with a quick, peppered grass exit.
Light bodied, lightly carbonated, and follows suit in its diffidence.
It's not horrible, just far too introverted and lazy. It's drinkable if you can stifle your yawning.
This is certainly a notch below everything else I've tried from Moosejaw, which is a shame, because this seems a style that they'd ace. And they didn't.

It is a light amber beer, with a nice fluffy white head, good retention and lacing.
The aroma is very pleasant, sugary and malted, candy canes come to mind, followed by other not so descript spices.
Velvety, surprisingly creamy mouthfeel opens way to a sweetish, caramelized brew that if it is not overly complex it is quite pleasant.

Reddish brown color..no head....very light aroma of roasted malts...taste is roasted malts too..more bock like than marzen like...a little bready...slightly acidic on the finish...

Medium bodied...low carbonation...slightly sticky...

One of the weaker brew pub o-fests I've had this year...drinkable but not a strong o-fest...can't really recommend trying it.

This is a rather unremarkable American attempt at a marzen that looks better than it tastes. The beer is dark brown/amber with very limited carbonation or head formation, which is acceptable for the style. The aroma is practically nonexistant, perhaps because of the too cold serving temp. As it warmed I detected very faint toasty malt aromas.

The taste is a toasted and biscuity malt through and through. I did not detect much subtle depth in the taste, with very little caramel overtones that I think are necessary for the style. What hop taste is present is mainly a slight bitterness to balance the malt. The beer is also fairly dry leaving your mouth wanting something else to quench your thirst.

Not a bad beer and I could see drinking it in a pinch as a session beer, just not the best example of the style that I have sampled at a brewpub.

This beer has a nice dark amber/orange tone. Creamy looking beige head sits on top and laces effectively. Not a lot going on with the aroma. Some sllight malt tones. The taste is clean and malty, but not malty enough. Hops are negligible, only around for balance it seems. This is not a bad beer, but rather another in a long line of "run of the mill" oktoberfest. Lacks nice depth.
