A- Extremely dark brown, almost black. Thin tan head, on tap it was much thicker.

S- Deep roasty aromas remiscent of coccoa with some coffee notes as well. Citrus and pine hop aroma is there as well, but it does not dominate.

T- The resiny piney hop flavors meld near seamlessly which the roasty flavors from the malt. There's just enough malt sweetness to keep the balance going. A very well balanced dry finish.

M- Medium bodied with moderate, smooth carbonation.

O- A nice sessionable CDA. However it's more on the over hopped porter side than dark pale ale.
