Had this on-tap at the brewpub in honor of MJ during the toast. Poured a dark reddish amber color with a fingers worth of off-white head that left some good lacing. Very inviting and complex aroma. There was roasted malts, dark fruits, coriander, caramel, leather, and floral hops. The flavor was just as good. Sweet caramel, dark fruits, spices, yeast...quite a combination. Fuller medium body. Even with the high abv this is one easy drinking, gimme another one, goes down smooth, highly enjoyable brew. Well done, Rico, well done.

On tap at BCTC.
Almost mahogany in color with a reddish hue. A slight head of white with a bit of lace.
Aromatics are filled with grape jam, fruit gum, rum-soaked raisins, and a spicy nod. Coriander, orange zest, and white pepper add a nice complexity.
The body is on the full side of medium. Sticky and slightly sweet.
The pallet is part quad, part saison. Plenty of ripe, dark fruits and caramel, laced with zingy spicework. Fairly clean, no funk, and extremely warming. A big beer, but pretty damn smoth.
Finishes warming with some light residuals, ripe figs, and a hint of dark rum.

Poured a dark sparkling ruby hue with lively carbonation and nice lacing. The belgian aromas are all there- solid yeasty tang with fruity esters and orchard aromas. There is a pronounced hop profile which is certainly welcome. Malts are big on flavor but not in body. They are deep and rich with ripe fruits and spice while also refreshing. Slightly sticky on the tongue but dry in the finish. There is an almost tea-like flavor to the bitterness which balances out the brew. With such a large ABV, there was no real trace of it until the quad warmed up a little, which was when the other flavors really came out to play.
